This project was for my BA top-up degree final year Final Major Project. I chose to create a ‘Fantasy Worldbuilding Workbook’ for which I designed multiple spreads and the cover design.
This cover design was created using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
The Brief
The Final Major Project (FMP) provides the opportunity for you to investigate an area of design / illustration relevant to your own practice, to deal with subject matter of interest to yourself and to produce a substantial body of work in response to this. It may also involve experimentation with and innovative use of materials, techniques and processes. At this stage of the course, you should be thinking about which area of design or illustration you would like to work in after graduating. If you are interested in becoming a professional children’s book illustrator, it would be a good idea to create and develop a children’s book for your FMP.
Identify an area for possible study and begin research into your subject of choice. Design is problem-solving, so try to identify a problem that would benefit from a redesign or a fresh visual perspective.
